It looks like Steve either filled Ellen in on his
Secret Booty Dance or they happen to share the tendency. This strip is my small homage to Bill Watterson and Calvin and Hobbes, easily the best newspaper comic strip of my lifetime and possibly ever. Watterson and his work have had an immeasurable effect on my own comics, and while I doubt he will ever see this I would like to give him the recognition he is due.
You may have noticed that this strip is A) longer and B) wider than most of the other strips! This being comic #300, I wanted to do something a little special. While I am going back to the standard 4-panel layout after this comic, I will be keeping the wider panel format as it gives me more options with artwork and text layout. I think you will enjoy the results! If the site looks weird, please refresh your web browser (you may need to empty its cache) as the CSS for the site layout has been modified to fit the wider comics.
