Ah, so that's where Faye is from. Maybe the reason she avoids contractions in sober speech is because she's overcompensating for the hidden southern accent.

If I am not mistaken, Mark Twain was the first notable American author to write in the vernacular. I continue the Twain-founded tradition of phoneticizing the drawl and making jokes about being drunk.

After a long and lively debate on the forums, I have decided to stick with Buzzcomix. I figure it's basically free advertising, so why should I stop? Thanks to everyone who votes, your actions got me almost 1000 new hits last month. I really appreciate it, but you already knew that. I hope. Hehe.

Don't forget- you have until 3PM this Friday (March 12) to order an Anti-Emo or Pintsize t-shirt before I send them off to the printer! If you place an order via the postal service and you don't think it will be there by Friday, just let me know and I'm sure we can work something out. I am super-excited for these shirts, particularly the anti-emo one.

Did you know that the new Deerhoof record entitled Milk Man comes out this Wednesday? Preliminary reports indicate the new record to be very good. Are you as excited as I am? If not, what is wrong with you? Deerhoof are awesome.

I am interested in tattoos. Specifically in getting one. While I don't necessarily think they should have some deep spiritual meaning I do think they should be very cool looking (no tribal or barbed-wire or butterflies or Japanese/Chinese, thank you). If I got one it would obviously have to be something that I would not get tired of seeing on my body for the rest of my life. Therefore I am looking for ideas as to what I should get! I think it would be neat if people put pictures of their tattoos up on the QC forums, or maybe just emailed them to me or whatever. Hopefully one of you has something that will jog my imagination.

That is all for tonight. I'm going to go sit by the phone and await the horrified phone call from my dad ("Jeph why the hell do you want to get a tattoo?"). It is kind of weird knowing that your parents are two of several thousand people who read your website on a regular basis. See you Wednesday!
