Man Faye is kind of a smart-ass in today's comic huh?
This was a really hard strip to write, just because I've got so much else on my mind right now. For one thing, I found out today that I will need not one but TWO surgeries on my right ear- one to clean out the cholesteotoma that is messing up my hearing, and another one 6 months after that to do some reconstruction on all the mangled up bone and tissue in there.
The first surgery should be in about six weeks. Rest assured I will have plans in place to keep the comic updatin' while I am out of commission. Anyway, do not worry- my life is not in danger and my health insurance will cover the costs. There's a good chance my hearing will actually be
better after the second surgery in 8 or 9 months, so this is all for the best. I'll have more info when I get specific dates and plans figured out. When it rains, it pours.
