Writing about AI rights in the QC universe is tricky. I have put a ton of thought into how their society works, but explaining it all in the actual comic would not fit the relatively lighthearted tone I am going for. So I guess it's just another instance of "show, don't tell" only spread out in the long term background. Or something.
