There is a long-running joke up here in western Massachusetts that each of the five local colleges (UMass, Amherst, Smith, Hampshire, and Mount Holyoke) is equivalent to one of the main characters from Scooby Doo. I can never remember which is which though, and if you ask two people you will get two different versions of the joke. As a Hampshire alumnus, I guess I am either Scooby or Shaggy.
