For those of you unfamiliar with the US Constitution, the Fifth Amendment essentially states "A witness [is] able to claim the privilege [of not testifying] in any proceeding whatsoever in which testimony is legally required when his answer might be used against him in that proceeding or in a future criminal proceeding or when it might be exploited to uncover other evidence against him." (thanks FindLaw)

Wow, that was a lot of explanation for a stupid joke. Oh well. Let's move along, shall we?

I have a theory that every person, no matter how cool and collected he/she may be, has at least one person who is able to completely get under their skin. In Marten's case, it's...well, pretty much anyone. In Faye's case, it's her boss Dora. She's possibly the only person in QC who can out-deadpan Faye, and is quite fun to draw. I have a feeling we'll see more of her in the future.

Questionable Content is totally kicking ass over on Buzzcomix. We're up to #17 as I type this, so keep those votes coming! QC is really starting to get some attention now, and it's really exciting. Thanks so much to everyone who votes, links, or just stops by to check out the comic. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy drawing it.

I'm having a ton of fun messing around with Apple's new GarageBand software. If you have a machine that can run it, it's definitely worth the $50.

Today's strip took nearly as long to draw as Friday's (#73). I think it's because I'm trying to put a little more effort into giving each strip a sense of place, instead of "the peach background means they are in the coffee shop". I don't know how successful I've been so far, but at least it's a start. Anyway, the longer drawing times are no deterrent- I will continue to bust my ass to make QC better. Hopefully you'll enjoy my efforts.

See you Friday!
