Holy god did the background art for today's strip take a long time to draw. While using photo references takes a lot of the guesswork out of things like perspective and lighting, it also means you have 200 times more detail to fret over. Still, I'm pretty happy with how they came out, I guess. Hopefully you do not hate them!

It turns out I needed some rest this weekend (as well as a trip to the doctor on Saturday to get my ears looked at), so there will only be the regularly-scheduled three strips this week. Hopefully you do not mind, I have a couple little things planned that will amuse you. Also Thursday is my 24th birthday. I will celebrate by being at work all day, as usual. Perhaps I will eat cake at my desk.
Go out and buy the new McLusky album (endearingly titled
The Difference Between You and Me Is I'm Not on Fire) right now. It is super-heavy rock and roll, quite a bit different from their previous record but awesome in its own special way. Imagine June of 44, early Girls Against Boys, and three drunken Welshmen getting into a fight and you have a pretty good idea of how it sounds.
