Monday's strip goes up a little later than usual due to a combination of anxiety attack, late dinner, and Myth Busters on the Discovery Channel. Dinner and Myth Busters were good, the anxiety attack could have used a little less crushing panic. Don't worry, I feel much better now.
In case you missed it, I did a
bonus strip this Saturday! Consider it my thank-you to all the kind folks who helped put QC in the top 10 at Buzzcomix this month, as well as a thank-you to everyone who reads the site, period. You guys make this comic incredibly fulfilling for me to do, and I want you to know how much I appreciate your support.
If you look down at the bottom of the news post, you will see a sign-up field for the spanking-new QC Mailing List. If you sign up you will get emails concerning site additions and updates, new comic postings, and up-to-the-minute details in the event of another site outage (God forbid). Anyway feel free to join in, I promise it is almost entirely painless.
A few months back I wrote a newspost about how certain CDs just need time to ferment in your subconscious before you can really enjoy them. I believe the band I used as an example in that post was Modest Mouse. I am pleased to report that I have experienced this phenomenon once again, this time with The Constantines' most recent album,
Shine A Light. I've likened them to Bruce Springsteen backed by Trail of Dead before, but now I don't think that soundbite does them enough justice. This is some really excellent indie-rock and definitely worth checking out if you like Fugazi, the afforementioned Trail of Dead, or Minus the Bear.
Do you like webcomics with absolutely gorgeous art and a compelling storyline? Then you will probably like
Fallen, an excellent comic by the lovely Aido Rakaen. I just found out today that she is a fan of my comic and her work has made my brain hurt with its gorgosity (not a real word, I know) for years now, so I simply had to spread the word. Go check it out, I think you will enjoy it.
Anyway, thanks again for stopping by. Vote for QC on Buzzcomix if you like, sign up for the mailing list if you feel so inclined. I'm happy to have you here. See you Wednesday!
